Through My Eyes - a reading (on YouTube)
The fog has lifted.
My mind has cleared,
Enough to write.
Is this the true dream?
A time to forge steel
From surrounding lead?
Or just another fit of reality,
Where silver words grey,
As ink dries to page.
The mist returns…

As earlier in the year, I am posting a pair poems today and an essay related to them.
You can find more background on this poem in the companion essay “Fall Equinox 2017 – Two More Short Poems” on the Noddfa Imaginings blog for essays.
Picture Notes:
ReplyDeleteThis picture is from 2008. It was a foggy morning and we went out to the park before it burned off. This same morning gave me the Winter Solstice 2008 picture. This picture looks out over the lake. It was a little grainy, so I applied the oil paint filter to it. That actually gave it a more ethereal look while smoothing the noise. The only other thing was a slight cropping of the image and it was done.
